how many is too many tables

hello there,
i might should have posted this under newbies, but its database related
i have an application to develope with MySQL that will deploy live
content on the web. nothing new here. My question is, i am thinking of
organizing this to where the information for each customer would be
stored in a seperate table. One table per customer. the thing is, there
are over 200 customers. Is that too many tables? I am kinda new at
this. I could do it with just a couple of database tables, but they
would become massive (over a million records in just a few months)
what is the better way to design ? a few very large tables, or many
smaller ones?

i think i can do this with just three tables. but two of them will get really long.

Research normalisation and indexing as soon as you can. When you index properly you'll realise that tables with gazlillions of rows aren't something to be scared of.

great, where would be a good resource for me to study up on how to index this stuff correctly ? i dont mind buying a book. thanks
