imap_open Fatal Error!!!

I get a fatal error on the imap_open line, when i try this:

i tried closing the imap too didn't make a differnece

Apart from the fact that I get the error of couldnt finding the host which what I expected I do not get the same result perhaps actually copying than pasting that error here so we can see.

the error i get is: Fatal Error : Call to undefined function imap_open

sorry i couldn't copy and paste i don't have the script on this computer at work.

I USED Telnet to check whether the POP3 account works using the username/password and servername and port. And it worked

i can do it with fsock, but i thin kimap has more functions, well maybe im wrong ,but i dunno much about Fsock commands...
anyone have a link to Pop3 server commands or something using fsock??

That suggests you don't have the [man]imap[/man] extension installed.

That sucks, i just read the php.net thing on imap, i have to install, compile a bunch of files, and then set them up. I may be able to do it in my localhost test server, if i even understood 1 word of the INSTRUCTIONS on how to install, sincei know Nothing about programming... And nothing about setting up "c-clients".... and i dunno how the hell im gonna install it to my web-hosting companies server... since i dont have access, and i doubt they will wanna install just cuz i wanted it.... So yea im screwed
i guess ill use Fsock, but fsock sucks,... u only get like 5 commands: RETR, DELE, LIST, STAT... i'll have to do some testing, but i wish there was commands to like MAke a mail box or do more stuff with it.

I am having this problem too. I am assuming it is becuase I don't have IMAP installed, as you said. Where can I find instructions to install IMAP (and that are easy to follow) 😛? (I have full root access and SSH access to the server if that is required to install it 😛)

The ones you have linked to = :eek: (too confusing 😛)
