Is this possible, and if so how?

I need to type in:

A) username
😎 pass

And have it submitted to not one, but three differents pages.
/site/login.php
/crm/login.php
/new/login.php

After getting them to submit to each tree, I have it from there I just can't understand how it would be possible to submit to 3 different forms. They say you can do any thing with PHP, so is my drawing possible if so how?

Why submit it to three scripts? Submit it to one, set up privileges for all three folders, and you're done....

Not to be rude, as you'll probably think that I am being rude but it just won't work that way. If I wanted it to be submitted to one, I'd have done that. If it was really that easy to rip those other login.php's and put into one, I would've done that. Infact it's impossible because each one controls sessions for different programs in the database.. and they each setup the session in their own ways to make it unique.

Again, does anyone know how to make a PHP script submit the known form submissions to other forms as well?

You're going to have to get into more detail about the problem. The HTTP specification isn't crystal clear, but I don't think that anyone has designed an HTTP server that will POST to multiple handlers, although it has been an occasional topic for discussion amongst developers.

The standard approach, AFAICT, is to pass the SESSID to the other subdomains during redirection or in any links between subdomains.

Not to be rude back, but that is an assinine design. Your users should login once and once only to get into your system. If you need separate systems, you need separate login pages.

I'm pretty sure this can't be done. This isn't a problem of PHP, though, it's how the HTTP specification is written.

Well, define "can't be done" for him. It can't be accomplished in the way he seems determined to do it, but it's possible that in some larger sense, there is a way to solve whatever problem he has.

However, the problem needs to be redefined first....

It's what some folks call a "workaround" :-)

Well, of course. When I say it "can't be done", I'm talking about submitting a form to three different URLs. I suppose if he were to attach on the end of each login.php page a redirect to the next login.php page, along with all the variables attached to the end of the address (as GET variables), then he might be able to do this. But that'd be a huge security risk, and I would much sooner recommend that he rewrite the entire site/relevant pages than do that.

If I needed to do something like this, like have the user log in to my custom program AND a commercial forum at the same time, I'd take a look at the code for the other scripts, and set-up the session however they do it. That way, one login script can set up the session for all three web apps.
