No error reporting

Using PHP 5.0.4 installed as a module on WinXP SP2/Apache setup does not debug any errors in scripts. When there is an error in a script there is just a blank page when loaded into web browser.

Is there any way to get the standard "error on line XXX" reports?

Tried looking through my php.ini file but could not find any obvious settings for this.

Set the following in your php.ini file (and don't forget to restart your server):

error_reporting = E_ALL
display_errors = on
log_errors = off

Thanx worked great..

display_errors was set to off. Apparently, I did not look close enough at php.ini.

This is now the default setting. It is recommended for production machines.

Most likely, you could have found the errors in your web server's error logs. I'm getting pretty used to ALT+TAB / tail /var/log/http*err*g, myself....

Well, good point I guess. I will note that I said that's what I am doing.

Poor vvuiverine --- too bad they don't believe in error logs in Redmond? Heh, for the matter, someday they'll get a real shell, too. I guess that Monad/MSH will qualify.

They've got more(1). Guess he could use that, and tape the space bar down 😃 Or bookmark the file in IE :rolleyes:
