Php + Xml

Hi all,

I have taken the below PHP parser code from a sitepoint.com article. Is this all that is needed to display XML file data? Basically I'm just trying to get a grasp of using XML.
I have created a simple XML file (menu.xml)

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>

<nav>
         <ul>
                 <li>home</li>
                 <li>about us</li>
                 <li>contact</li>
         </ul>
</nav>

I want this displayed as a navigation menu in PHP file. How do I do this??
