minor issue

hey guys i hope u can help me with this

I use the command

echo $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"];

in one of my scripts, but one of the directories has a space in it which results in the script spitting out a %20, is there anyway to overcome this and make it spit out a space instead?

if it contains a space echo will output a space
