Review and ranking module

I need some help. I'm looking for a review and ranking module or component that enales users to be able to upload their content and other users can rank and review them. The perfect example of what I need is used in this site http://www.webhostingjury.com/ except I need something flexible enough for me to edit the table, add pictures, links etc.

The key function I need is for the highest rank to appear at the top and so on. Users can clcick on each listing and view other user's reviews, with the option of placing their own review. The site above best illustrates what I need. Any insight will be appreciated.

Hi aconeinc,

this sort of question is not gonna get you a lot of help; Dale gave you an answer which is the best we can do at the moment. We have no clue as to how experienced you are. I would say, the basics for this sort of thing is written in ~20 minutes of coding, if you know what you are doing. Probably a day or so if you are just getting started.

In any case./
- You need to create a table / file to store the rankings
- Whenever a user votes, you UPDATE the ranking to ranking+1
- Your need to SORT BY ranking DESCENDING
- You finally need to be able to SELECT from TABLE where id = $someselectedid

Look at the select statement in the Mysql manual (www.mysql.org), the FAQ thread in newbies, the SORT BY flag for the select statement. And when you get stuck, let us know where.
