What does this error mean? Does it have to do something with php.ini? Sorry I'm new at this. Did I mess somethig up php.ini?

Looks like permission problem to me. Check whether the user, which runs your web server (apache or whatever it's called) has permissions to do everything in '/tmp/' directory.

Thanks, how would I change the permissions to it? And what would the permission be changed to?

Actually you probalby have to use ssh right? Damn i hate using that...got to study more. yea anyways, what would the permission need to be changed to? and how would I do it?

Well... If you aren't the admin of the server, you probably wan't be able to do it. But if you are, then I suppose chmod will do the trick. The permissions are 777 (read write execute for all). I imagine it's ok with /tmp/ directory, but I'm not an expert on this matters.

how do you use putty to cmod that dir? Or what's the exact puttye code that I type down. I am actually the admin of that server, but I have no idea how to do it. it's my first server. And my first few times using ssh.

When you connect to your server, write "man chmod" and read the documentation. 😉 It's all there.
