PHP5 not displaying echo commands

Help please,

I am having trouble with PHP5... I have some code from netsend, its a PHP ping system.

It echos the results back to the browser. It seems to work fine on a box that I have running php4, but will not work ing php5. I have done all kinds of things. I have gone of the php.ini file and httpd.conf file countless times. But I can not get this working... I can't think of anything else that could be causing this except the version of php.

If anyone has any suggestions please help. I am running Fedora core 4 on the box that is not working. The box that is working is running centOs with php4.

I have tried to down grade to php4, but I am not having any luck with that either. Please any help would be so greatly appriciated.

Well having a look at code may help. Is error_reporting high maybe setting that up the php.ini file dont set it to STRICT though if your still using some PHP 4 code. Have you checked the Apache error_logs?
