saving files to db

i need help in uploading files to a mySql db, any type of file> 😕

i wouldnt recommend it. just upload your files to a directory, then save the path in your db. much easier and i believe more efficient.

The MySQL manual acctually reccomends that you DO NOT store files in the database... the filesystem does a much better job of caching, and you can just store hte path to the file in the database instead.

does that meen you solved it somehow? i have a feeling you are being sarcastic. i would never recommend doing it in asp/vbscript either (ive developed in asp for 8 years) and i think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who does.

it would be easy enough to do in php aswell, just not a good idea. any reason you must?
