Loading Linked Pics

I have coded my own forums were I have allowed people to link to an off-site avatar however I have noticed that some times the page takes ages to load if the off-site is running slow.

Is there a way to set the page to load even if the pic has not be found yet?

Depends on the users' browser how it renders and displays tables: and I guess you are using tables. IE will not begin to display the table untill it has received all the data, but Firefox will. Just let them upload their avatar to your server and you'll solve this problem. Othrewise you are at the mercy of pictureview or whatever they are using.

Cheers, I am a firefox user myself but I still have the same problem - I think I will do what you suggest and offer them a way to upload there own avatars!
