[RESOLVED] I screwed up... Help please?

I spent all afternoon writing a script that I thought was pretty good (for me as a beginner). It's simply a compare/analyze data script that was supposed to return some arrays that would then be sent to SELECT inputs in a form.

Once I got to a point where I figured it was close to testable, I uploaded it and ran it on my hosted website. Suddenly, I couldn't access the server anymore.

And yes, after a query to the Support Desk, I was informed I'd crashed their server and if i did it again they'd kick me off for good.

I wasn't about causing problems, and they can't tell me what I did wrong
So I wonder if I could post the script here as-is and perhaps someone could tell me what I did?

I figured I'd ask BEFORE I post the script, to avoid causing even more problems.

Would someone be interested in helping me?

Theres nothing wrong with what you showed me, it must be in mysql_connect.php, header.inc, index.inc, or footer.inc.

The header and footer I've used in other pages with no problem, as well as the mysql_connect.

Index is just a form (attached as footballform)

...which probably means the error is in the other attached text file (football2).

I took a good look through all of the scripts and I didn't see anything that would cause a server to crash. They're pretty strait forward, using mainly mysql queries and printing data. There is nothing unsafe about this. I hate to leave you with nothing to go on, but I have years of experience working with mysql/php and what I see in your scripts is typical coding. I really doubt the scripts you showed me can cause a problem significant enough to bring down a whole system.
I would suggest installing phperl2 or similar on your pc and testing your scripts locally if this is causing problems between you and your hosting providers. That way you can at least be sure to yourself that your scripts are or aren't causing the problems.

could you do a mysql dump i think your problem is in the data that mysql handles crashing the server I have a dummy database and it works fine

Thanks for verifying that I hadn't done anything terminal. I downloaded EasyPHP and have been working with locally. It's actually much nicer (quicker) to do so.

I did dump the data, and rebuilt the database locally. So far things are working fine.

I appreciate both of you helping with this situation.
