Fellow freelancers, where do you get your work?

Hey all.. was wondering.. where are my fellow freelancers getting their work?

Me.. usually from old satisfied clients.. referals from friends.. and some other places.. but not very stable flow of projects i must say..

So I've given them job sites a chance again.. i've actually only tried one before .. elance.com.. but I never really subscribed cause it's just to darn expensive...

ya'll know any alternative job/freelance project websites i can bid on?

But you have to sell yourself... not litterally ofcourse, I found that out the hard way... woke up in an ally on a damp mattress with 50 bucks down my blouse and a sore back!
