Does anyone know how to download and install the ESPN Bottom Line onto a website, if the website uses PHP BB2? I was able to accomplish this once, but i was using PHP Nuke instead. Can anyone give me code, or any suggestions to get over this hurdle? I'm assuming this is still possible to do.

Thank You !!!

what do you mean by install it. it requires a full frame or did you want to have a section in phpbb2 called bottom line that displays the data please be more specific

Well, i just mean the actual Bottom line itself i want viewable on the website to anyone who goes to it. Not just a link, but the actual Bottom Line.

The way it is setup really doesn't matter, as long as the bottom line is viewable to everyone who visits the site.

My webmaster says the PHP BB2 version of software is only made to run on a computer, not on a website. However, i have used PHP Nuke in the past and put the bottom line on my website, so i know it must be possible. But the PHP BB2 i'm not as familiar with.

If i use the flash link, people will need to click on the link to see the Bottom Line.

By the way, sorry about the 2x posting and it will not happen again. You didn't sound mean either, it's all good. I REALLY appreciate the info!

If you find out how to embbed this please let me know....it would be greatly appreciated.

          Thanks

there's some great news I found the peice of actionscript in the file that calls for the text to be displayed and I'm writing a php script for you so that you will only have to include it

Thats great, defiantely keep me informed thanks

sorry to report that when I wrote to ESPN in my rage at my own failed attempts to port actionscript to php/javascript they politely informed me that if i did not stop my efforts to "subvert the security of their webapp" apparently version2 then they would commence legal action against me so if you go and get the swf decompiler demo and download their swf you can find inside their actionscript copy and paste it to notepad because I don't need a lawsuit. they did inform me that for a "negotiable fee" I could pay to use their services oh how kind. I think what I will do is sign up to their free e-mails and make the script that way until then tinker to your hearts content with their actionscript

ESPN decided to send me a followup e-mail posting this link http://www.2rss.com/index.php?rss=3856
apparently just parse this data every day I'm still working on my own RSS news feeder now I'm working with RSS i'm fine again. I will post a link to my script when it is done for now make do with the previous link and this new info
