RSS and PHP

All,
I would like to be able to obtain a reader that will work with a PHP site. I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to start was. For example if I have http://www.website.php/main.php I would like to get an RSS feed from espn.com (they have the links to subscribe to the threads) and display that on my site. Any ideas???

i have made one, located at www.neoprogrammers.com called rss fetch. some examples are on the page. its pretty simple to use
