Add Users through PHP

Hey,
I need help with a PHP script (Im brand new to PHP, comming from ASP for this project). I need a script that can add a user, and setup an email acocunt for them. I am trying to make a small free webmail box, and would like users to be able to sign up, but so far havnt had any luck. I found something in the API libary at ClarkConnect.org (http://www.clarkconnect.org/developer/api/index.php?target=User.html) , but since im new to PHP i have no idea on how to use it. Im using ClarkConnect (Because it was easy to setup, im new to linux as well)

Any help would be cool

if you want to give people emails, you would probably be better off using something like hivemail (hivemail.com) or socketmail (socketmail.com).
it appears that script acually creates user accounts on the server, and gives them a home directory and shell.

Ive looked at SocketMail, and have just had a look at Hive, but they cost. I need something free, as i dont want to spend any money on setting this up.

i built my own mail server system. I uses the imap funtions Dunno how everyone feels about them but they work for me
