newbie needs help

Hello all,

I am a complete newbie to php and mysql but have some html experience. My question actually is quite simple. I am trying to upload these files to my hosting and cant get the site to appear. Which folder should these files go in. I have the following folders:

entropybanner
gnupg
htpasswds
trash
etc
mail
public_ftp
public_html
tmp
www

I have tried them in quite a few folders and I cant get anything other than the directory index to come up.

public_html is where they should go. www is a link to that folder as well.

Ok I got it in there, now I get an error message when trying to resolve the site. It says:

Warning: main(sysadm/libs/smarty.class.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/escurren/public_html/index.php on line 7

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'sysadm/libs/smarty.class.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/escurren/public_html/index.php on line 7

What am I missing?

all the smarty files have to be in a folder called libs, which should be located like
public_html/sysadm/libs

They are there...man this php is totally foreign to me. Any other ideas?

just double check all the paths are correct in the scripts, since it is saying the file doesnt exist.

What would it cost me to get someone to upload all this correctly?Any idea.

Do you have a testing server or local environment where you can test the files locally to make sure they work and the paths are correct?
