image rotate // resize

im using a simple php script to rotate images (from folder images) on a site. can somebody help me with a phpway to resize the images (wxh) on the fly while loading in a browser. i dont want to resize & copy (imagecreate).

can this be done in php, should i look for alt ways?

Um, you want to resize an image without resizing it? What's wrong with the usual method?

i want to resize / stretch the image to a certain wxh in the browser, not the actual image itself ...

It sounds like you want to set the width and height attributes in the <img> tag, right? It doesn't change actual size of the image, just the size it appears in the browser.
