[RESOLVED] Loading...

I've got a large page that has links to documents. Currently while it loads some of the styles do not apply untill the entire page loads.

I've seen some sites using a temp placeholder that display some placeholder text message, like

Please wait. Loading page...

I am not talking about Flash sites. I actually saw it on some PHP driven sites. Is that some sort of DHTML? If you know what i'm talking about, could you point me into the right ditrection.
