Hey guys,

Hope I'm asking in the right spot.

Is there a snippit I could use to count the number of files in a directory and subdirectories then have the results diplayed on a webpage?

We run a site that is mainly about images. We would like to display our total image count on our pages. Trying to find a way to count all the images in a folder and subfolders.

I'm sure there is a supper easy way to do this, I just don't know how.

I didn't see anything there about returning the number of files.

I need to display to my users something to the effect of:

There are 12678 images on this website.

Where the number (12678) is a count of files in a directory including sub folders.

Use [man]scandir/man to load the contents into an array, and then use the [man]count/man function to count the number of elements in your array.
