Is anyone on here developing for mobile devices using LAMP?
Does anyone here use a mobile device for browsing the web on a regular basis? If so, what device/OS/browser/screen resolution, etc.?
I just recently purchased a Treo 600 that comes with PalmOS 5.2 and a browser called Blazer 3.0.0. I was very pleased that it sends a special HTTP request header HTTP_X_WAP_PROFILE which directs me to an .rdf file that gives me very detailed information about what it can/can't handle. Not that I'm going to port different versiona of my sites for each device, but this info will give me a great "lowest common denominator" to work with. So, has anyone ported their sites for handheld devices? I'd love to get some information such as which are the most popular devices, which browsers are most common, whats the average screen resolution, etc.
