Gallery errors!

Hello, Im very new here so be gentle!

Im a modrator on a bike forums (PHP style forums, I dont have Admin access)

We are getting a few strange errors in the gallery section, I have listed them as they are shown below ..

Warning: fopen(/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/bike-pix.com/httpdocs/albums/People-and-places/photos.dat.lock): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/bike-pix.com/httpdocs/forum/modules/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 55
Error: Could not open lock file (/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/bike-pix.com/httpdocs/albums/People-and-places/photos.dat.lock)!

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/bike-pix.com/httpdocs/forum/modules/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php:55) in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/bike-pix.com/httpdocs/forum/includes/page_header.php on line 478

We have no idea what has happened or how to fix it, we were wondering if anyone could have any helpfull and simple solutions ... ??

it happens on 2 of the 4 different sections within the gallery 😕

Just checked the gallery again and its the same errors showing in each section now

the erors and warnings are displayed at the top of the pages

The error, "Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by..." is when there is ANY space you have at the top of the page or text that should not be there. Your page should start:

<?php 
// no spaces no lines etc ...
// start code here...
?>

It could also mean that you are trying to redirect a user using header/location, trying to setCookie, or start a session after other PHP code or HTML has executed already...

Error: Could not open lock file (/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/bike-pix.com/httpdocs/albums/People-and-places/photos.dat.lock)!

Maybe check the information/status of the file. For info, check here

The header errors happened when the code outputted something before the header...in this case a warning. Fix the first error, and the header errors will go away. As for your error, it looks like perms on the file are incorrect for your usage. That tends to be the most common cuase for the permission denied error.
