Some Date problem

Hi friends

I am facing some problem with PHPs date functions...
The output which i need is like :

(For the current Month ie; whichever will be the System Month)

Day Date

Thr 1-Sep-2005
Fri 2-Sep-2005
........................
........................
Fri 30-Sep-2005

Being a newbie, I am unable to get the same output

Please help me...
