not showing repeated rows ?

I've got a simple question

i have the field "type", and then i want php to show me the field "type" but if i have 2 rows with the same name for example : type = wallet , it will show me wallet 2 times , and i only want it to show me 1 time the word wallet.

how can i do that ? :queasy:
