need help with posting data from form ...

ok I am trying to insert some data into my nifty little db ... but i think i have the php wrong ... all i want to do is insert a new row into the 'venue' table ...

is this correct ... or am i missing somthing ...

I can't believe you haven't gotten a reply back yet...

First, you might want to show an error message, just for future reference.

Your form action is wrong, it should be $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] (action should be the name of the actual php file with the code you want to run, in this case the same file with the form). You'll want to make the columns in your query variables (put a $ sign in front of them), and you'll want to do some condition checking. Use if statements to confirm you are connected to a database and that the variables in your query are set.
