Flash and MySQL - ASP or PHP?

Hi, I am about to develop a site that will connect to a mysql databas from a flash file. Could anybody explain which technology is to be prefered ASP.Net or PHP and why?

i would say php. because it has allot of mysql functionality built in. as far as im aware (not that ive played with it much) .NET is an MS tech, and although connecting to a mysql database is possible, i wouldn't think it would be feature rich.

def go with flash > php > sql, don't mess with the ASP. Like (he) said it could possible work but i am sure you will have to do 2 x's more work to get it to work with flash and mysql.

Stick with PHP

I have done serveral flash sites with mysql and php, For one client i did a whole CMS threw flash.

I have developed with both- While ASP.NET does have a few neato tools and tricks, overall I have been much happier with PHP. just seems much more natural. But this is a PHP help site... Of course we like PHP better...🙂
