Best 3rd party product catalog app?

I have a client who wants a replacement for their online product catalog. Its basically just a searchable database of machinery that they have for hire along with pics and hire prices.

Basically just a shopping cart without the cart bit. Instead of a cart they want an 'add to enquiry' button where you can add products to your enquiry list and then mail it to the company to confirm availability/prices.

The big thing is search engine placement, the app must have facilities to enhance their search engine ranking such as dynamic meta tags etc. Their old app is an asp based shopping cart running in catalog mode but has got them nowhere in the search engines which is why they are wanting the replacement.

They have specified PHP for this project and due to time contraints (it needs doing yerterday!) a solution cannot be built from scratch so i need to find the best 3rd party PHP app to do the job.

Anyone know any likely apps? We're after something like they use on www.inlec.com this looks to be a shopping cart but with the 'add to enquiry' feature we require.

Honestly, that's a pretty specialized feature, and there's a good chance you're not going to find it in any third party apps. You're probably best off to pick up a shopping cart script, and modify it for your own use. If you or your client need help modifying it, or developing one from scratch, let me know.
