iseries php date

I have started development on our iSeries but I am having date problems.

If I do this for instance:

$curdate = date("m/d/y H:i:s");
print $curdate;

I get this as output 09/26/05 17:15:41

The current time at my office right now is 10:15:41 in the morning. I am trying to find the setting to change what time zone our box is in. I have also looked at the apache web server, but that search has came up empty as well.

If anyone knows how I can change this, that would be great.

it would appear that your server is in a timezone that is 7 hours earlier than you. if you want to display the current time in your timezone then you must offset the time by 7 hours.

echo date('m/d/y H:i:s', time() - 25200);
