Hi all,
I have been struggling with trying to get a SSI to display on my site. Here goes:
The site works on a PHP based CMS and PHP templates. When the pages are requested, the system compiles the page, and the resulting page is given a static URL ie:
www.mysite.com/shopping/Mobile+Phones/Nokia/ as opposed to
www.mysite.com/shopping.php (where all the page details are processd in shopping.php) - my point being that the resulting URL contains no file extension.
Now, my problem is, that I want to have a SSI to load a set of links in the bottom of the page. As far as I know and have researched, a PHP SSI cannot be processed unless the page is recognised as PHP.
I have tested this, by making a seperate .php page using the same include() code, uploaded it, and it works!
Has anyone got any advice as to a workaround?
I DONT want to
A) Resort to changing file ext to html/shtml
😎 Use html include tags
Is there anything I can change in the .htaccess file?
Cheers
D
