How to format this query

In a table with fields like 'submitid' and 'email' I want to find all rows where the email is the same, but I only know the submitid for one row which is unique for every row.

Ie. if there are three rows in a table with the email [e-mail] my result should return three rows if I know one submitid for example 111111.

submitid | email
111111 | [e-mail]
111112 | [e-mail]
111113 | [e-mail]

hm.. maybe 2 querys?

SELECT email FROM table WHERE submitid=111111

So you have the email.. then try another query

SELECT submitid FROM table WHERE email=$email

or something like it.. i m kinda new to it so i dont know any way to make it in just one query 🙁

I do it in two queries now. I just thought there must be a more correct way to do it.

It should have another way to do it.. 2 queries is kinda dirty.. but i always do it in two queries cause i m noob.. btw hope somebody post a solution in just one query.. i would apreciate that info too :eek:

maybe I am not understanding the difficulty.

select a.,b. from table a, table b where a.submitid=$submitid and a.email=$email and a.email=b.email

that may not be quite right, but I think its close. Basically you are joining a table against itself to get the values
