I need some help

I've been thinking of making a website and need some help with php. I want my site to be very interactive with other members. The only problem is I don't know the first thing about php! :o

• 1. What should I do first?

  2. Is there I specific program i should get for php?

  3. What is this "Apache Server" deal I keep hearing about?

  4. Is there some tutorials that you would recomend me looking at?

  Ok, it sounds a little newbish but I did say that I didn't know the first thing about php so you know why it sounds newbish.

There are also good tutorials on php.net and there are good tutorials on this site. I recommend buying a good book to get you started.

When you post on here you should try to put it in the right forum, this isnt really a DB question.

Try to make the title of your post more specific for example

"Help with installing PHP?"

or

"Suggestions of good beginner tutorials?"

I recommend getting a book. When you are first learning it's better than just reading tutorials online or forum threads. You need a base.

Search for a beginner PHP book on Amazon.com or BN.com and check out the reviews.
