i'm a total newbie to PHP but a programmer for 25 years. Started out on 80 column key punch cards and cobol, more recently perl, cgi, asp

I need a quick start

i want to run/install on my XP box

Last time i looked at PHP in 2002, there was phptriad which looks obsolete when i google it now.

I also came accross the FoxServ Project.

Is either of these the way to go? or is there something more current?
