How To Background and Banners

Hi PHP people,

I am a complete noob to this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I want to have a textured background on some PHP forums.

To do this I went to 'styles management' then clicked 'edit'. The style sheet appears. The fourth box down allows me to input a background. Do I need to write the path to where to background is, or just have the background name in there with the background file in one of the folders? And if so which folder?

Also, with the banners (like the banners on these forums), how are they placed onto the forums? If I was to make a banner in photoshop, what folder would I upload it to, and then how do I tell the forums to use them?

to start with, you might want to read up on css. there is a basic tutorial here.

this question entirely depends on what forum software your using. questions like this should be directed at a support forum that deals with whatever forum your using.

neither of the questions you have asked have anything much to do with php. find the right help forum and you will find the right answers.
