[RESOLVED] Remembering form values ...

I'm using a form to add data to a certain database. (add.php)
The form gets validated by another .php. (add_exec.php)
When the form is incorrectly submitted the add_exec.php script will notify where it went wrong and redirects you back to the form. (add.php)

When redirected back, the form is empty which is ofcourse logical. The problem is how to remember the original form values and inserting them back in their right textboxes ....

Is it more efficient to make just one add.php which submits to itself?

yep..
try something like this

strlen($_POST['somedata']) > 0 &&

   // store to DB

}else{

<form>

Some data: <input type="text" name="somedata" value="<?php if(isset($_POST['somedata']) ) print($_POST['somedata']); ?>" />

There is a problem though with:
<input type="file"...

That one won't allow an value to be set (security reasons ofcourse),
is there a way around the problem?

Or else someone could do some serious downloading from your computer (;

I think I know a way around... at least for the users sake so that they don't have to select the files again when the form is validated negitivaly (<-- is that a word?).

When they have selected the files and they are validated correctly then the <input type="file"... will be replaced with $filepath with a link beside it 'change' which will if clicked on show a <input type="file"... etc (:
