Probably a big snowstorm, at least for those of us in the USA; thus says noaa.gov for the local market.
Assuming it was a tad more widespread than that ... of course, this is a worldwide forum, so that can't obviously have been the entire reason.
Maybe we should search for posts from that approximate date?
