[RESOLVED] Easy way to show limited number of pages?

I've adapted a multiple page listing code snippet to my current project. My only problem is the page numbers will just stretch across the page, messing up the scrolling.

Essentially, what I want to emulate is a Google style layout, where I start out with pages numbered 1-10, with anext button. As I increase through the pages, more pages are added, up until 20 total listed (say pages 1-20, or 20-40, etc).

Does anybody know an effective way of doing this? My page code can be posted if necessary.
