Using time functions

Ive been reading for a few hours, I cant find what im looking for.

I have this:

date("m/d/y h:i", strtotime($row['date']))

Its pulling a time set in a column (via datetime, now() in mysql)

I need to off set it to where it shows what time it was in pacific standard time.

Ive believe the server is located in chicago, il. Im in california

Is there something im missing?

If you're gonna do time off-sets, I'd suggest using the GMT functions in PHP. Then you will constatly get a time/date stamp and you can use that to format to whatever time you want.

The manual is pretty good in documenting what it is you want to do, and if you read the user contributed notes, they'll help you out too.
