Writing to file

Hi there. I am wanting to write information to a file - which i can do - but what i need is for the information to be written to the top of the file rather than the bottum. Is this possible? would appreciate any help given, thanks.

Slurp the contents of the file into an array, prepend data to array, then rewrite the file.

execute

$f = file($the_file);
$f2 = implode($f);
$fopen = fopen("filename.txt", "w+");
$write = fwrite($fopen, "TOP OF THE PAGE".$f2);

That will write it at the top of the page... its a pseudo-code so it might have errors maybe... just try it out and test it.

Now there's another problem lol

Basicly what I am doing is writing html to a file and then recalling it into a page. Now, when i write the html in anywhere in the document that i type " or ' it adds a . Is there a way of stopping this as it is messing up the whole thing. Appreciate any help.

Ex:
"Has it\'s ..."

Read up on [man]stripslashes[/man], including the bit it says about magic quotes.
