PHP Downloader

Hey everyone,

please could someone help me, i am trying to have a page on my site for users to download my music. The thing is, i know i need a php page to do this, but i do not know where to start.

Does anyone have a code? and can tell me where to put in my page so it looks the same as other pages in my site?

Also i have read about doin it via ftp, but again dont know where to start and how to execute this...

im really stumped...please i know this is such a newbie thing...but i dont know where else to look

you wouldnt really need a php page for it.
<a href="song.mp3">My Song</a> will allow them to download the file.
Depending on what browser plugins they have you may need to instruct them to right click the link and choose save target as.
php might make it easy to track which files are downloaded or organize them for you, but isnt required.
