I'm spent most of today trying to get the SSH2 PHP functions working and was wondering if anyone had come across this problem before. I'm running PHP5.0.3 on Linux RedHat 7.2
If I run pear install ssh-beta I eventually get back:
Connection to `pear.php.net:80' failed: Connection timed out
Can anyone tell me where pear picks up the proxy address & port from as these are configured as environment settings on my system but don't seem to be getting picked up?
I've also tried manually downloading the tarball from http://pecl.php.net/package/ssh2 and running phpize but this fails with:
Configuring for:
PHP Api Version: 20031224
Zend Module Api No: 20040412
Zend Extension Api No: 220040412
/usr/local/bin/phpize: aclocal: command not found
I've also had a look round http://pear.php.net but can't find any reference to ssh anywhere - anyone know why this is the case? Is there a 'hidden' PEAR section that only the PEAR app can reach, and if not, why can't I find the package on the website?
Any advice or help appreciated
cheers, Rob
