Detecting Quicktime

Hi,

I am trying to detect the presence of Quicktime on a user's machine. I know there are ways to do this with Javascript, but if at all possible, I would prefer to use PHP. Are there any PHP functions out there that can do this?

It must be with JavaScript (a client-side language). This is the closest function in PHP:
