Confused

I have never actualy used Php, i just learned it existed. after i heard what it could do, i wanted to learn how to mae it. if there is anyone out there that could help me, i would appresheate it, plus i cant spell good. anyways, i wabnted to know how to use it and make a upload script i found actualy work, because i have no idea what im doing. lol, sorry im souch a noob at this.
