COM tutorials??

Hi,

Am very eager to dive into PHP COM programming to dynamically create word/excel doc etc.. Can anyone point me to a decent website with good tutorial covering all I need to know?? I've tried searching and found nothing but rubbish. Disappointingly my PHP books (even Wrox's PHP for professionals) doesn't cover this :o

Any help would be very much appreciated.

your best bet is to probably have a dig around the microsoft developers network

Indeed; all PHP provides is a means to connect to COM objects and there's not a lot to say about that. From there on, how to use the COM object depends on the object.

What I am really after is tutorials on how to build Excel and Word docs. I want to be able to format the text and add borders and do all that kind of thing. Can't seem to find anything straightforward. I know there are 3rd part programs out there that can do it all for you, but I would like to be able to do it myself.

Like we've said - you'll want to look at Excel and Word's programming documentation for all that.
