[RESOLVED] PHP and Server 2003

I am using this script:

I was using this on 2000Pro and it worked fine. I then put this same one on Server 2003 and the thankyou.html comes up after submitting but no email is sent. I am using this server only as a web server. Thank you for any help you can provide.

What would I be checking on exactly. I saw where there is a module setting for from = email. Would that be where I need to make adjustment?

Well you have to set up a email server

I have a seperate email server. Do I need to point my script to that server and how would I go about doing that. I thought as long as I have the email address of the receiver in the script it would get to them after I submitted the form. The form I am using is:

Well you have to change the setting in the php.ini pointing php to the server

Ok so where in the ini do I make this change.

So I change the sendmail_from = [e-mail] (to where I want the mail from the submit to be sent?).

Well, that's part of it, but that's not the important part, since that setting is usually ignored when configured in scripts.

What you need to do is change the 'SMTP' directive so it points to your e-mail server.

What kind of 'separate email server' are you running? Does it require SMTP authentication?

I am using our main server for our network and exchange. I did not want to put the web on that so I have a seperate one. It is just weird that it worked fine on the 2000pro. I did do the auto install on the pro and I read that this would not work with 2003 so here I am trying to get this last piece working. The website is www.barcoderesale.com. The other question you asked about the authentication? Well I am not sure where I would look as I was not the one to set it up and the people did are not available.

Well, point the SMTP directive to your Exchange server and try to send some mail. If it doesn't work, more than likely SMTP Authentication has been enabled (probably a good thing).

Ok so I change where it says localhost to our mail servers localhost such as ourhost.local or do I need to put the actual ip address for mail? Why is it that I did not have to do this when I was using 2000pro. The scripts worked fine and the mail worked also.
