[RESOLVED] encrypt GET values sent over URL

Hi all,

I have tried searching google, but cannot find any information directly relating to what I require,

Basicly I am sending some GET values via the URL, All i want to do is encrypt these vaules so they cannot be read.

Would I use the md5() function ?

whats the best way to do this ?

You Can Use base64_encode and base64_decode

Example:

$id = 64;
$page = 42;
$encode = "id=$id&page=$page";
$encoded = base64_encode($encode);
echo "<a href=\"mypage.php?{$encoded}\">Click Here</a> ";
?>

It Will Give You The Link :
mypage.php?aWQ9NjQmcGFnZT00Mg==

This is not encryption. If you want to encrypt it for security reasons, then look into using the mcrypt set of functions.
