PHP recieve emails?

Hey,

I get emails with the following subject.

"Username = Test"

To an email address which can be either a forwarder or a pop3 account. Basically I want to use PHP so that it recieves the email and takes out the username.

Aslong as I am able to get the email as a variable I'm sure I can work out how to edit it so I can get the username, its just how do I go about getting PHP to recieve emails?
