Scraping a file

Greetings All.

Does anyone know where I might find an example of how to scrape a file? I am wanting to scrape a .txt file from a server that produces the file on the fly. The file contains MLS data for real estate listings.

I'm really new at PHP and would appreciate any help you all can give in pointing me to a starting point.

I can get to them via a direct link to the file just not sure how to make this work so it is automatically done say - at midnight each day or something.

[man]file_get_contents[/man] is one function that will get a file. you can schedule a cron job on linux to run a script at a certain time interval.
