Convert PDF's to JPG's

Hello

I need to convert a lot of PDF's into JPG's (or other image format) so I can make thumbnails of the pages. Currently I'm making each by hand in Photoshop, so is there a way to automate this in PHP?

Ghostscript can do that easily enough. It's got a commandline interface, so PHP can drive it with system calls.
