I was just wondering if anyone know why only the basic functions like bold, italic and underline workfor my bbCode and not the other extended function such as

, [color]? Is it because I did not configure properly? How do I make it work? Thanks

Probably since Bold Italic and Underline are simple tags. Are you writing your own tags for your own forum that uses BB Code? Tags Like Quote and COLOR have their own seperate functions, and need additional information before they will work. Depending on which software you are using will also make the handling of code different to be compatible. If you were using phpBB the code would be handled in different files and manner than the code for Invision, or V Bulletin or SWF so without even seeing your code or what is not working it would be hard to say, could you maybe leave a snippet of code that kind of shows what you have right now to work with?

Anyway, so far I have installed BBCodeParser from Pear itself. Just automatically configured by typing Pear install BBCodeParser.

As for my code I have:

hello

world!

The output being hello (BOLD)

world!

I didnt know that tehre are dif versions of BBCodeParser.Thanks again! I am so glad someone replied. 🙂

ooh.. seems like this forum take in my code as the BBcode! erm, I meant like this:

"[b]Hello[\b][quote]world[\quote]"

ignoring the forward slash.. before the [ and ].. Sorry, i dont know how to display it prperly in order that the forum page not display this into BBCode again. The bold worked, but quote just display as [quote]world[\quote]
