online merchant return variable

Hello all...
Well, I'm setting up a store through a 3rd party host.
They handle all the credit card business and send me all the info.
It's working on a PIN system which I have in my database.

My question is...

Once their page calls my php script that checks the validity of the PIN, how do I send back a "confirm" or "decline" variable when there's no submit buttons?

The info they send to my script is through a POST form.

My script receives the info and then their script waits for the reply. I can't figure out how to send the reply. Probably something right in front of me that I'm missing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

echo'ing the reply should be all it takes. they will get back whatever data you output with normal echo or print or just regular html outside of php tags.
